Maxine Samuels

Max came to yoga over 20 years ago, first using it as a restorative support during her dance degree. Teaching is at the heart of what she does; alongside yoga, she brings experience from five years of dance instruction and eleven years teaching Cycle Fit. 

She completed her 200-hour Vinyasa Flow teacher training in 2016 with Holly Warren. While her classes have a strong focus on asana technique and safe, intelligent transitions, they’re also light-hearted and fun. Max doesn’t confine herself rigidly to one particular style; she enjoys weaving in movements or ideas she’s picked up along the way, offering them to her pupils simply because, as she says, "if it feels good—why not?" 

You can expect thoughtful sequencing, a light touch of yoga philosophy (without being too heavy on the Sanskrit), and plenty of encouragement to play and explore, whatever your level. Take what works for you and leave the rest—it’s all good.
