Kalei is a newly qualified yoga teacher who graduated from Akasha Yoga Academy in 2026. Having practised yoga for seven years, she has come to see it as much more than a physical practice. For her, yoga is a way to reconnect with yourself, restore balance and create space for personal growth.

As a Fine Art and History of Art student at Goldsmiths, University of London, specialising in oil painting, Kalei is particularly interested in the relationship between yoga, energy and creative expression. Her own practice became especially meaningful during a period of burnout, when yoga helped her renew her creativity, reconnect with her body and approach her artistic work with a fresh perspective.

Through exploring the chakras and the relationship between mind, body and breath, Kalei discovered a sense of freedom that extends beyond the mat and into everyday life. This understanding informs her gentle, grounding approach to teaching.

Kalei’s beginner-friendly Hatha Yoga classes focus on the connection between breath and movement, incorporating Ujjayi breathing to encourage a steady, mindful practice. She aims to create a calm, welcoming space where students can slow down, release tension and restore their energy. Her classes are open to beginners and more experienced students alike, inviting everyone to move at their own pace, deepen their practice and leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and more connected to themselves.
