Giovina Guerra

Giovina came to yoga around 13 years ago and still clearly remembers the sense of aliveness and presence she felt after her very first class. With a background in dance, fitness and theatre-based movement, she has long been fascinated by the ways the body can communicate, express and feel — and how movement can create a safe inner space for self-awareness, acceptance and care.

She completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Ashtanga Vinyasa in 2016, followed by a 50-hour Rocket Yoga training with It’s Yoga, led by Jamie Blowers. Giovina has been teaching regularly for the past ten years and continues to deepen her practice through ongoing study. She has completed additional training in Yin Yoga, Mandala, Rocket, Ashtanga, Pranayama, Aerial Yoga and Hot Yoga, and is currently undertaking her 300-hour teacher training.

Giovina’s classes are supportive, welcoming and pressure-free. She aims to offer balanced challenges for both body and mind, while inviting students to befriend their breath and stay curious about what unfolds on the mat — externally and, more importantly, within their inner landscape. Her teaching encourages moments of presence in the spaces ‘in between’, cultivating intention, self-compassion, gratitude and a sense of play.

Alongside her yoga teaching, Giovina holds a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and also teaches Italian and Gentle Yoga within adult education settings — work she is deeply passionate about. This therapeutic background subtly informs her teaching, supporting students to explore movement with sensitivity, awareness and kindness towards themselves
