Fausto Assuncao
Fausto began practising yoga in 2010, drawn to its ability to support a healthier, more creative and joyful way of living.
Before stepping onto a yoga mat, he spent several years training in Chinese martial arts — an experience that deeply shaped his understanding of movement, discipline and body awareness. The precision, fluidity and mindful strength developed through martial arts continue to inform his yoga practice, offering a strong foundation in balance, breath control and the connection between physical and mental challenge.
What began as a personal exploration soon became an integral part of Fausto’s life, inspiring him to complete his Yoga Teaching Training Diploma in 2016. Since then, he has dedicated himself to sharing the benefits of yoga with students of all backgrounds and experience levels.
Fausto teaches Beginner and Intermediate Hatha, Vinyasa and Dynamic Flow yoga with a calm, attentive and encouraging presence. His classes are designed to help newcomers feel grounded and supported from their very first session, while offering more experienced practitioners the space to refine technique, build strength and deepen their practice with confidence.
Clear instruction, a strong focus on alignment and an emphasis on breath awareness form the foundation of his teaching style, making the physical practice accessible, empowering and enjoyable. Fausto places particular importance on developing strength — not only muscular strength, but also the steadiness, resilience and clarity that arise from mindful, intentional movement.
