Dima Karaguleva

Dima is a welcoming and down-to-earth Hatha Vinyasa yoga teacher whose classes are accessible, dynamic and thoughtfully paced. Her personal yoga journey began in 2019 as a way to calm her mind and learn to be more present, and over time regular practice led to a profound shift in both her mindset and lifestyle.

In early 2024, Dima left a high-pressure career to follow her interest in health and wellbeing, training in Ayurveda, iridology and Indian Head Massage at CNM College London. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in July 2025 with Imir Frazer at Parampara Yoga School, based at Dragonfly Yoga Studio. After teaching as a cover teacher for Beginners and Community classes, Dima began teaching her own regular classes at Dragonfly in January 2026.

Her classes are rooted in Hatha Vinyasa, with a focus on breath-led movement, steady sequencing and building strength and confidence over time. They are particularly welcoming for beginners, while still offering enough dynamism to feel energising and engaging. Dima enjoys exploring different teaching approaches and styles, and her classes often encourage a gentle shift towards a more meditative state through movement and breath awareness.

Dima openly shares that she didn’t enjoy yoga when she first tried it in her early twenties — it felt uncomfortable and challenging. This experience now shapes her teaching, as she reassures students that with regular practice, discomfort can give way to greater ease, strength and resilience, both physically and mentally.

She is guided by the belief that “movement is a privilege”, and is passionate about encouraging people to move whenever they can — not as a performance, but as a way to support health, posture, mood and connection. Dima’s teaching invites students to make time for themselves, move with intention, and feel better in both body and mind.
