Jasmin Sweeney-May

Jasmin found yoga through necessity rather than flexibility. After three hip surgeries in three years — including a total hip replacement — yoga became a vital tool for regaining mobility, managing pain, and finding calm in both body and mind. Relatively new to yoga at the time, and feeling very much outside the usual “yoga stereotypes,” Jasmin understands first-hand how intimidating studios can feel — and why so many people talk themselves out of trying.

Now a 200-hour certified teacher, Jasmin teaches to gently (and sometimes humorously) dismantle those barriers. Her approach is shaped by years of physiotherapy, functional movement principles, and dedicated practice with senior teachers across different yoga modalities. Having experienced the powerful physical and mental benefits of yoga — including how it supports her ADHD — Jasmin is passionate about helping others realise that yoga truly is for them, whatever their age, body, flexibility, or neurodivergence.

Jasmin’s classes are music-led, functional and welcoming. Expect 4Beat-inspired vinyasa with a practical twist, designed to build strength, mobility and flexibility in a balanced, supportive way. Variations, props and modifications are fully normalised — not just for accessibility, but to deepen the experience of each pose. There’s no performance here, just exploration.

Students can expect a warm welcome, encouragement, optional wobbles, challenge where you want it, laughter (actively encouraged), and great music to carry you through your practice. Beats, breath and balance sit at the heart of every class.

How to spot Jasmin? Look for the trademark headphones! She's always listening to something inspiring be it music or an inspirational podcast.
