I have never been to a Yoga class before, where do I begin?

Our management team is here to help you find the perfect class for your specific needs. They can tell you all about our classes, teachers, workshops, courses and treatments.

If you are unsure of your entry level or what style of yoga you should practice, please send us an email to info@dragonfly-yoga.org. Alternatively, you can always pop into the studio to have a look around and ask any questions directly, please note our receptionists are available at the studio, during the following hours:

Monday to Friday: 9:15am – 13:15pm & 17:15pm – 21:00pm.

Saturday 8:15am – 15:00pm

Sunday 9:15am – 15:00pm & 17:00pm – 19:45pm

If you haven’t practiced Yoga before, try our Beginners Course, which runs over a weekend on Saturday & Sunday both days from 15:00pm to 17:00pm every month, please see details:

Do you have an offer for first-timers?

If you have never been to Dragonfly before, you can sign up to our Introductory Offer which is £30 for 15 consecutive days of unlimited yoga!  The offer starts from the day you book your first class.

The Introductory Offer is available to you even if you have attended a workshop, course or treatment at Dragonfly, as long as you have yet to attend your first Yoga class.


Do I need to book a class before attending?

No, you can always book upon arrival however please allow at least 15 minutes before the start of the class if you are new to Dragonfly and you need to complete registration process.

Please note: We highly recommended booking online to avoid any disappointment, as we are a boutique Yoga studio and our classes usually get fully booked.


What are the pricing options at Dragonfly?

Do I need to bring a mat?     

We provide mats free of charge, which we ask our students to clean after each class with a spray bottle and a cloth that contains specific natural sanitizes. If you have your own yoga mat, you are welcome to bring it along. 


What should I wear?

Some people wear loose fitting clothing and others wear tight stretchy sportswear. Here at Dragonfly the most important thing for us is that you wear comfortable clothes in which you can easily move and stretch in.

During the power, intensive and dynamic classes you will get sweaty, so it’s good to wear clothes that will keep you cool and bringing a small towel might be useful as it will get sweaty. While during the calmer Ying & Yang classes where you slow down, you might need a jumper to keep you warm during your relaxation time.


Do you have showers and changing rooms?

Yes, we have one shower / changing room at the studio. Towels are available for £1 from our reception, body wash and hair dryer is provided.


Can I park at Dragonfly?

We do not provide parking facilities. Brockley has many parking spaces around the area and you shouldn’t have a problem finding a meter free space.

Please note: the space outside of our studio is for residents/permit holders only.

 


What about my bicycle?

There is bicycle parking bay in one of the units right outside our studio, you will need to bring your own lock. Please ask one of our lovely receptionists to show you the space for your bicycle.


Is there an age limit for attending a class?

The minimum age for attending all classes alone is 16.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (guardian / or parent).  Please always contact us first if someone under 16 is hoping to attend a class so we can check with the teacher if the class is suitable for them. 


What if I have an injury or medical condition?

Always consult your doctor first and always inform the teacher at the beginning of the class so they can cater for you. Feel free to contact us also prior to your class via email (info@dragonfly-yoga.org) and highlight any concerns that you may have.


What if I am pregnant?

We always advise that you do not practice during your 1st trimester and when you come back to practice we recommend that you attend our regular weekly Prenatal Yoga Class first, which runs every Saturday at 11:15am, to book please follow: https://www.dragonfly-yoga.org/schedule/

At the Prenatal Yoga Class, you will be shown the safest way to maintain your yoga practice for you and your baby.


What if I am running late?

We encourage all customers to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of the class. We understand that sometimes there are emergencies and lateness cannot be avoided, on this occasions please always call the studio and let us know you will be late on 0208 090 2311.

Please be note: if the class has a waitlist and you don’t arrive on time to start your class, your place will be allocated to another customer. Therefore if the class is fully booked you will be unable to take part in the class if you arrive late.
