Abi first came to yoga to deal with a running injury, and stayed for the benefits. A freelance journalist, she was drawn to the calm it provided in the middle of a hectic working week, giving her space to breathe among the deadlines. Over time, she saw improvements in strength, flexibility and body awareness, but more importantly, it brought her a sense of mindfulness and self-compassion. Convinced this was worth taking further, she trained with The Yoga People in London, becoming a Yoga Alliance-certified RYT 200 in Ashtanga Vinyasa and Rocket. Her classes are fun and fast paced, designed to challenge you wherever you're at. But they always come back to a focus on the breath and a reminder to be in the moment, being kind to yourself both on and off the mat.
